Hello. I recently bought an Xbox Live card, and when redeeming it, it recognizes it as a 12 month subscription, but says "Something Went Wrong" when redeeming. Error code: 0x801650C8

I purchased and have received and redeemed the codes for the games but seem to be getting an error code trying to redeem the 12 Month Live code.

Any ideas? It just suggests trying again later.

i bought a 12 month subscription redeem code card at first it was saying that something is wrong with my Billing info, got that fixed but now its saying that the card wasnt activated but i bought n still have the reciept. What should I do? Ive been at this
since the 29th

If it says it wasn't activated, then you would need to try taking it back to the retailer to have them activate it. If that doesn't work, you would need to contact support. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or

Make sure you're typing in the code exactly how it's listed and not swapping letters for numbers (8 for B or 0 and O). If it's still not working, you'll need to try contacting support.

Problem

You see the following error message when you try to redeem a gift card code on Xbox Live:

Can’t retrieve information from Xbox Live. Please try again later.

Status Code: 80122725

This means that the card was not activated at the retailer.

Solution

To resolve this issue, return the card to the retailer and ask them to activate it.

Attempting to redeem on the 360 console gave me the error code that I looked up below:

This means that the card was not activated at the retailer.

Clearly she'll have to return to the store in the end. Thanks for the reply.

I can't redeem any codes! I work hard for my money. I purchased an Xbox One, bought a card for a 3 month Xbox Live Gold Membership, & $15 card. None of the codes work when typed in. I tried the error code into their error code search & nothing worked!

OP: Are you trying to purchase LIVE with a credit card or redeem a prepaid card? What is the full error message/code you see when you try?
