    Error code when entering code for Xbox Live


    Good evening,

    I'm trying to get a Xbox Live code through but it keeps saying "Something went wrong" or "There has been an error". I have been trying to do so since yesterday evening, and even though it suggests to try a few minute later, it still hasn't worked so far
    (almost 24h at current hour). The error code i got the last time i tried to put the code in was

    61a2043a-523b-4531-aed8-1c7f50586c8d

    The code can't be read by your automatic help center (i've tried many combinations, removing parts, but nothing worked). Could you please tell me what to do in order to get the code accepted? Thank you very much

    i cant sign in!!! help!!

    ok, so a while back LIVE sent me a message over xbox live and said that i needed to enter in a security code for my account so no one else could sign in to it. i ignored it. a few days ago i was at my friends house and i couldnt download my account. an error code popped up. now when i try to sign in to xbox live on my computer, it makes me go through all this crap. my email hooked up to xbox live is hotmail and it is microsoft too. i have to enter that stuff in my hotmail account too!     How to control access to your Xbox LIVE account

    It is possible to restrict access to your Xbox LIVE account by using a pass code, or making it necessary to sign into your Xbox profile using your Microsoft account password.

    Set a pass code

    A pass code is a button sequence on your controller, which you can use to restrict access to your Xbox LIVE profile. After you have set the pass code, anyone who wants to sign into Xbox LIVE using your profile must enter the pass code.

    Steps to follow

    1) Under Settings, select Account

    2) Go to Account Security, and then select Pass Code

    3) Enter your four-button code on your controller. You can use the directional pads, the triggers, the bumpers, X and Y.

    4) Re-enter your pass code for confirmation

    The next time you sign in with your Xbox LIVE gamertag, you will be required to enter the pass code.

    If you want to change or reset your pass code, just repeat the above steps. You will be required to enter the old pass code before you can change it.
