    I tried to enter a 12 month xbox live voucher code and got the error message below

    I do have xbox live until Jan 2017

    Something went wrong

    trying to redeem a code for gold membership. Every time i enter the code it says "sorry, but an unexpected error has occurred. The error has been recorded and we will investigate. Please try to redeem your code later."

    Well the issue has not been resolved. I too have got the error code when trying to enter in my xbox gold membership code.

    What do you mean you rescued your code? It doesn't look as though you entered a code in for a Gold membership. Can you try again on the console and post any error code you may receive when trying?

    Do you mean redeemed a Gold membership? What is the error you are seeing when you try to play online?

    If you've recently entered your membership code, try restarting your xbox. Do this by pressing the xbox button>press settings>press restart.

    if you are trying to enter more then one trial code like 48hour or 7day codes you can only enter one at a time and must wait till the previous one expires

    they do not stack

    only gold membership does and trial cards are not gold memberships only temporary trials for multiplayer for specific games
