Error code E105 00000000 8007045D on Project Scorpio Edition

Hi all,

As title in post indicates, i have recently received this error code on my Scorpio Edition Xbox.

I was playing WW2 Zombies and my Xbox froze mid-game (Screen froze in game). It would not respond to my control inputs and could not exit the frozen game screen to get back to Xbox Dash no matter what buttons i pushed on my controller.

I had to hold the power button in on the console for 10s to hard reboot my machine. After this, the Xbox took a good 7-8 minutes to show anything on the screen and when i finally did, it was the troubleshoot menu with this code "E105 00000000 8007045D"

After looking up the code and following the recommendations from Xbox support reading some similar posts i performed a Factory reset which DID work although only momentarily. What i mean by momentarily is once my xbox finished the setup i was able to play
for about two hours and then BANG, same issue same code.

I have logged a service request and i have to send my console back for repair. Which i am happy to do but i do have some questions and concerns which xbox support were a little vague on.

1. What exactly is the issue with my console ? is it a Software, Firmware, HDD, CPU, RAM Main Board, Power Supply etc problem ?

I was informed that it was caused by a failed Update due to "my internet connection speed being poor" ?? I have FTB (Fibre to the building 100Mbps) connection. (hard to swallow that diagnostic)

2. Is this issue only present with the Scorpio Editions?

3. Will i get my beloved Scorpio Edition Chassis/case back ?

4. Will my consoles internals be replaced but keep the same serial number and warranty?

Has anyone else in AUS had this experience with there console specifically Scorpio Edition ?

1. as far as I know the E105 is a hdd related issue.

2. No, as far as I know it can happen on any console

3. That is a question only Xbox Support might be able to answer.

4. That might happen, but it may also be fully replaced. I've heard both options so can go either way.

If all fails you will either need to set up a repair or contact Xbox Support like mentioned on that troubleshooting page.

Thank you for replying and for the feedback. The console has been logged and sent back for repair. I had already followed all possible troubleshooting suggestion before doing so. I guess i will wait and see. I just hope that i get the Scorpio Edition Main
Board ( Scorpion and Master Chief etching) and the case.

Will post back my results when i get it returned.
