Error Code 831188FE and several additional problems

Hello everyone,

it appears that me and my fiancée have some problems regarding the xbox live login.

Let's start bit by bit.

The problem I am encountering is as follows:

The error 831188FE keeps occuring whenever I try to login to xbox live on xbox 360. This error does not occur when I try to login via computer. I tried to follow the steps that were described on this page: Fehler 831188FE | Xbox 360 Verbindungsfehler ;
i.e.: 1. Disconnecting any USB-connected hardware ; 2. Deleting my profile; 3. Emptying the system cache (twice); 4. Recovering the gamer tag and 5. Restarting the console. Unfortunately I had no luck and the error still persists. Are there any other ways
to fix this issue?

The second issue my fiancée is having is as follows:

She has the console from her (former) friend (This is the console we both are using) , the console has the profile from her friend, unfortunately we are not able to retrieve the password for this account. This to be honest in not one big of an issue.
But looking at the abstract of account, XBOX has processed a debit note on her bank account. So in other words, the account is on someone else, we can not retrieve the password but we pay for the xbox live membership. This is not acceptable.

I would be glad if an xbox official could get in touch with me regarding the a.m. problems.

With regards to your first problem, I had this problem too, in the end I sorted it by going to account.live.com/Activity If you're signed into your Microsoft account this page has a list of every time you've signed into Xbox live and every time you've
tried. I just clicked on each time it wouldn't let me and then clicked again on the option to confirm that it was me. Have had no problems since. Hope this helps.
