    For about the past week or so I've had issues with my profile randomly signing out, so I looked into the issue and I found that deleting the profile off the Xbox 360 and then downloading it back onto it would fix the issue. So I deleted just the profile,
    and then cleared the system cache, rebooted my Xbox, and this error appeared when I tried to download my profile. I'm not sure if my issue has to do with the server issues that Microsoft is having with the 360s right now, or it's something else, but I've gone
    through every troubleshooting solution for not being able to download a profile and nothing has worked. Then again, this error code doesn't even have a topic under Support. If you could help me out, or tell me I just need to wait until Microsoft gets their
    Xbox 360 servers functioning again, I'd really appreciate it!

    Hi there,

    just to be sure try the following steps in the exact order

    1. Check account.live.com/.../manage to see if at least two security proofs are setup and verified.

    2. Delete your profile from the console, be sure to delete only the profile, to do so check this link:

    support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete


    3. Clear the console cache, see this link for the how to:
    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache
    (Try this 3 times in a row)

    4. Turn the console off.

    5. Turn the console on.

    6. Clear the console cache one more time

    7. Redownload your profile.(See the same link as 2.)

    If that does not help I do suggest contacting Xbox SUpport so they can take a more indepth look at the issue. To contact Xbox Support use

    Thanks for trying to help, but you told me to do what I said I have already done. Guess I'm stuck with contacting Xbox support, who I doubt will be much help.

    When you say you already checked all steps that WPAK provided above, but you get that error as soon as you are trying to download your profile, can you please check the following again:

    Go to the page for profile security. Scroll down a bit and check if Two Step Verification is ENABLED or disabled.

    If it is not enabled, I highly recommend you enable it. If it is already enabled, scroll down on the page to the section where you can create an app password.

    Click the link to create an app password, and write that password down.

    Return to your console and delete the cache again, just to be sure, that the previous download attempt didn't mess anything up again.

    Then try to download the profile again, HOWEVER: When the console asks for your password, use the APP PASSWORD instead of your regular password to download it.

    Does it now work?

    I bought a console back around Christmas 13, I have two others and was replacing my slimline. I have been getting this code and others saying "cannot be downloaded now, try later". I have tried the rebooting but nothing but another code 800704CD.

    After waiting for all the Xbox Live server issues that were going on during the time I first posted this to end, I tried to download my profile again, but same error code. I've chatted with Xbox Support and have done everything they asked, and still nothing.
    Quick question though: Could I use another Xbox 360 to download my profile to a USB drive, and then transfer my profile from the USB drive to the Xbox I'm having issues on? Because I'm out of ideas on how to fix this, besides sending my Xbox in, which I want
    to avoid doing.

    I might try downloading my profile to a USB using a friend's Xbox 360 soon. If I'm able to transfer it from another Xbox to mine we might have a temporary fix.

    and check these solutions (please ignore that it is in the Xbox One section, since it seems it's an account problem, it doesn't matter which console).

    If that doesn't do the trick, please create a NEW thread, and explain what you already did to rectify that issue.
