Discus and support Error Code 80151904 in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I get this error code anywhere from once every few minutes to once every few hours.     Error Code 80151904


    I get this error code anywhere from once every few minutes to once every few hours. It kicks me offline, and the only way I've been able to fix it so far is to reset my console and play until it kicks me off again.

    The steps I've tried up to this point:

    • Delete and re-download profile
    • Clear Cache, delete, re-download profile
    • Manually enter IP address as well as DNS information
    • Restore network settings to factory defaults
    • Reset router/Modem (Though, I still have internet on other devices, so I didn't think that would fix it either way)
    I'm on an original xbox 360 arcade. This started a few months back, probably around Jan/Feb, and has gotten progressively worse. Any ideas would be highly appreciated.

    What Country/State/Province do you live in? Nevada, US

    Modem brand & model number: Cisco DPC3010

    Router brand & model number: Netgear WNDR3800

    If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter: Black external

    Things you have tried:

    Delete and re-download profile

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type: Not that I'm aware of.

    Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider): Charter

    After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)

    W:0000 - 0021

    X:0000 - F001

    Y:0000 - 0000

    Z:8015 - 1904

    ID:FFFF - FFFF

    L:8015 - 1904

    Q:8015 - 100C

    T:Wireless

    D:192.168.1.1, 0.0.0.0

    S:WPA2

    Would you be able to try a Wired connection for your Xbox 360 instead of a Wireless? This is to make sure that it's not your Wireless connection having issues.

    Hi Chris!

    Sadly, I picked a terrible time to post for my Time zone, so I'm currently unable to try a wired connection. Tomorrow I'll see if I can scavenge an Ethernet cable (Though, I can't for the life of me think of where one might be) and give a wired connection
    a go. Would you suggest I go from router->xbox, or straight from the modem?

    This error is generated on the LIVE side, not locally. The error code of 80151904 is not even available to Search on support.xbox.com.

    What I've had to do four times now since early a.m. (Pacific Time), Tuesday, May 20, 2014:

    - In the Dashboard, go to Settings/System, go to Storage Devices and select the Hard Drive using the (A) button.

    - Go into Profiles, and Delete your Profile.

    - Navigate out, and go into System Items, then Delete the Content Cache.

    - Back out of that to Storage Devices, use (Y) for Device Options.

    - Select Clear System Cache.

    Now shut down the Xbox 360 as you normally would. Wait about 60 seconds, restart, then with the Big X button Download Profile. Once completed, you should be prompted to logon to Xbox LIVE.

    So, unfortunately, I don't have an ethernet cord to be able to try a wired connection. Any other possible fixes?

    Snow, I've tried that before, and it didn't work for me, as I'm still having the problems. I'll try it again as a temporary fix.

    Hey there Nick!

    Before giving ChrisEatsBacon's suggestion a go, could I have you try something as simple as remove the hard drive. But, before you do so, restore your Xbox network settings to factory defaults.

    With your Xbox powered off,
    safely remove the hard drive and add it back
    .

    Turn on the Xbox and run a diagnostic test to Live (Test Xbox LIVE Connection) and let us know if this test fails to connect properly.

    The error code
    80151904
    seldom, or never, originates from server side.

    Visit the Netgear website, to make sure your router is up-to-date with the latest version of firmware.
