Error code 80151904, first time its happened and I can't log back on.

    Hi

so the problems simple, I'm in the middle of playing mw ghosts and it starts to suddenly lag hard. I try leaving and rejoining a game and after doing that for 5 minutes and getting really irritated that it seems I'm dealing with a massive lag spike that's ongoing
I ended up getting booted off line. and bam this error code shows up.

so down the list of possible fixes that are proposed on this site. clear cache.. nothing, redownload profile nothing, restart the system ... nothing, restart the router.. nothing, restart the modem.. nothing. do various combinations of the above over the
next hr and.... you guessed it... nothing.

I'm using a wired connection so interference is not an issue aside from that I did the google ping test from my computer (which i'm currently using ONLINE to write this msg.) it pinged none stop without issued for 2 minutes. hey my computer is online, my wifes
computer is, my phone has net access, her phone has net access, my PS3 has access, my Wii has access. This is not an issue on my end from my network. Couple that with attempting everything that has been previously suggested and the fact that I have played
Ghosts pretty much without issue since the day it came out until earlier this afternoon.. in the middle of a game with no apparent reason or change in any of my hardware or software.

The only thing I'll add at this point is despite obviously having a working router, modem and working home network which as stated above hasn't changed and worked fine earlier today.. yesterday and the day before that and before that etcetcetc is that now
when I test the connection on the xbox it can't connect to the network.

So whats the deal? why when everything has been working is it out of no where that it suddenly stops, and every suggestion listed above doesn't work and hasn't worked for those people asking for help.

whats next? what do you want me to try from here? I don't even care why at this moment, just help me to make this work right again.

    :)

    XBL Cant Connect/profile "Download" Error(8015190E)

BTW, just did a quick reboot after my last post.

I get a new Error every time i try to log in now. 80151904 instead of no Error code or 8015190E.

Just to make sure i tried 2 Profiles, and both my HDDs. Both the same Code.

Hey there, Redd! Sorry to see that you're getting this code. Looks like it's a profile error, so let's see if we can resolve this.

    My research pulled up the
    80151904
error code page. I suggest trying those steps in that order (please do Step 1 three times). Post back your results! If it doesn't resolve your error code, we'll want to try some other troubleshooting. Error code 80151904, first time its happened and I can't log back on. :)

So not to sound rude but when I said

"so down the list of possible fixes that are proposed on this site. clear cache.. nothing, redownload profile nothing, restart the system ... nothing, restart the router.. nothing, restart the modem.. nothing. do various combinations of the above over the
next hr and.... you guessed it... nothing."

your response was to do exactly what I have done again ? or that I was somehow incapable of following the directions on that page prior to wasting everyones time posting a message here? or is this just a standard automated response that will waste more of
    my time?

None the less, to follow the procedures of this site......

I have now wasted another hour or so doing exactly what I did yesterday, which is the 3 solutions on the link that I have previously found and that you so graciously sent. I tried clearing the cache well beyond 3 times, I tried it with a restart after.
I tried it from a restart before, i tried it and then downloading my profile, i tried downloading my profile and then clearing the cache, I tried not restarting and then with restarting. I tried clearing it 3 times and then log on, 3 times and then restart.
tried clearing then restarting 3 times in a row. there is no combination of 3 attempted cache clears either on their own or in conjunction with the other possible fixes that I have not tried.

yup now I have successfully done the same things all over again and no success.

    So whats next to try?

well well here's a fun bit of news.

In a last ditch effort to make something happen I yanked my cable out of my xbox and put in the wireless adapter. logged on right away. Now if that isn't the strangest thing ever. usually people tell you to go the other way.

anyways once back online i took no chances and did all the steps again. I can't say if that did anything because the problem was already solved at that point but with the not-so-stunning lack of solutions provided I figured what the hell lets waste some
more time restarting and redownloading and such.

after all was said and done I turned my xbox off. popped the wireless connection off, hard wired it back to the router (same cable, same set up, no changes to my router, modem, net connection, or anything else. literally just taking the cable out and back
in) turned it back on and so far ... so good.

I doubt my experience will help anyone as the only solution that i could offer is to remove a cable.. then put it back in.... which seems unbelievably pointless... but hey if you're like me and have the wireless adapter but generally play on a wired connection.
just give it a quick go. it takes all of 1 restart and it might allow you to redownload your profile and play.

I don't know i can't explain it. just what happened to work for me. Good luck.

  7. That's really good news to see, Redd. I take no offense to what you stated, because I did really start with the basics. It's what I generally start with to make sure that the steps are done in the correct order.

I would keep an eye on that cable and possibly your Xbox's connection port. Either one might be on its way out, though since the cable seems to work fine now, it might be the console.

Please post back if it happens again! We'll delve into some deeper troubleshooting for you instead of going with the basics. Error code 80151904, first time its happened and I can't log back on. :)
