hello. My son was trying to update Fifa 15. It didn't work, and now we seem to have lost all our profiles and have nothing in the memory unit. I've followed the support document but with no luck. I'm not bothered about keeping any gaming history but I
would like to be able to connect to xbox live again. When we first turn the xbox on it says the Kinect sensor needs re-calibrating - I've done this but it keeps asking me to do it again. We're connected to the internet and xbox live according to the network setting.
Can anyone help; I just can't think what to do next...thank you

Hi there. Unfortunately there is a error with a recent update which corrupted a few files on certain xbox consoles. The only way to rectify this is to do a full system restore back to factory settings. This then will allow the console the reinstall all updates
for all software and games again. I am sorry this is the case. Bust Microsoft are trying hard to get ready for windows 10 and some errors will form while there testing.

Hey these are instructions to reformat your xbox 360, I hope it helps

Factory settings would be basically formatting your XBOX 360's hard drive.

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

Select Storage or Memory.

Select the storage device that you want to rename, and then press Y on your controller.

Select Format. You will see the following message:

This will delete all content on this device. Do you wish to continue?

Select Yes to format the storage device.

If you are asked to enter your console serial number, do so, and then select Done. This step helps to guard against accidental formatting.

The console serial number is located on the back of the console and behind the oval door on the front of the console.
