it kind of funny how we are having update problems with no fixes and now all the forums are locked.

Have to checked your storage to make sure you have enough free space for the update?

If you have, and you do have enough space, try the following steps:

•
Clear your System's Cache 3 times

• Turn off your console

• Remove and replace any storage (such as a USB drive, memory unit, hard drive). Here's how to add/remove your internal/external hard drive.

• Turn your console back on and attempt the update again.

If those steps don't fix your issue, try updating via a USB flash drive via the following steps:

Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system. For information about how to format a USB flash drive, see the “Format a USB flash drive” section of Xbox
360 USB flash drive support.

1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
2. Download the update file.
   
3. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.
4. Unzip the file. If you're using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
   
5. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your USB flash drive (for example, E:\). Do not copy the contents to another folder on the USB flash drive (for example, E:\Files).
   
6. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.
7. Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.
8. Restart the console.
9. When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. When prompted, select Yesto update the new console software
   

If those steps don't work, and you have the 360 model with the 4GB internal memory, check to see if that memory is shown as "Unformatted"

 

Sorry those steps didn't work.

Do you have the 360 Model with the internal 4GB of memory? If so, does the memory show up as "Unformatted?"
