    My husband unintentionally clicked on update when the xbox was connected to the net, then appeared this error code. No storage device connected that time. tried some solutions online but some are impossible as we cannot even access the SETTINGS, even after
    restarting the code will appear and no where to go.. brought the unit to a number of service centers but no one can fix.. please help....

    Service Centers? Don't bring your console to shoddy stores...you have no clue what stores do :S

    Anyway, clear the HDD cache, that should wipe any incomplete update data.

    that error code means there is an error with your storage device. You can try and clear your storage cache and then restart your xbox and try again. If this doesn't solve it you will need to contact 1-800-4myxbox

    416B 4174 2780 0F00 C000 0034 is what I'm getting as the status code. I'm On my way! My iPad so starting a tread and loading to my xbox is not an option. This is really irritating.

    I am having the same issue as well. When I turn it on, I get a quick second where it shows a bar and is "Applying Updates" and then directly to the same error code as explained above.

    Can't read the update from your storage device. Please reinsert it to continue the update.

    If the problem persists, visit www.xbox.com/support.
