can someone please help me with this. We’ve spent hours trying to troubleshoot. No phone support available; I’ve been in line for chat for a long time and haven’t moved; and I’ve not been able to find any helpful solutions online.

When I try to update our Xbox series c consider me, we get this error code:

0x8B050084 0x00000000 0x000000201

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The console won’t recognize ANY network - even when plugged in directly. Our home network doesn’t show up, but neither does any surrounding network (neighbor’s, cell phone hot spot, etc.).

Hi Eric, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

This is related to your network connection, can you please perform an extended powercycle and reet your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

Sorry for the trouble and thank you for the detailed information. Can you please perform a powercycle on your console by following the steps below and try searching for another network again?

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that still didn't work, we may need to perform an offline update.

"To use the Offline System Update, you'll need:

A Windows-based PC/Laptop with an Internet connection and a USB port

A USB flash drive with a minimum 6 GB of space formatted as NTFS"

You're welcome and thank you for the update, is there a way for you to use a different network connection? It can be a mobile hotspot with enough data to cater the update.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I tried this and it did not resolve the issue. Anything else I could try?
