    I've been trying to get this going for a week now. I've been in contact with MS support AND flight Sim support but no one seems to be able to actually help. When I install MS Flight Simulator on my Series X, if I try and update when installing, it just cycles between installing and cancelling the install several l times. If I install without the update and try and update it later, I get the above error message over and over and no update has been installed. I have tried all the suggested methods: reset my console, restore to face to factory and restart login process, you name it. It ONLY affacts Flight Simulator. All my other games work flawlessly, including updating just fine. The ONLY game I have any issues with is Flight Simulator. I have 250gb of free storage so this isn't the issue either. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Actually yes. This error seems to be a known issue their engineers are working on, that apparently hasn't been communicated to some of their support team lol. There is a work around.

    1. Uninstall the disc version if you have it installed

    2. Using the Xbox app on phone or PC, download the game to your Xbox Series X remotely. Make sure the Xbox is on of course.

    3. Once installed (around 113GB download) insert disc 1 and play the game.

    Let me know if this works for you, as it worked just fine for me
