How do I fix my party chat connection? (Error 0x8924000D)

Hi Codzilla584, my name is Rodrigo. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

I am sorry to hear that.

    Please, change your connection DNS.

    Follow these steps:

Go to Profile and System > Settings > General > Network Settings.

Select the network you're connected to, then select Advanced settings > Manual

On the DNS field, input these:

    Primary: 8.8.8.8

    Secondary: 8.8.4.4

    Save settings.

Be sure to turn off and the turn back on the UPnP option as well.

If it still does not work, please, if you know how to do it, make a Wi-Fi hotspot router on your phone and connect to it.

That way we can isolate the issue, by testing another internet connection, using your mobile data plan.

In case none of these options work, you can try setting up the DMZ on your router.

    There are great guides online*:

    https://www.windowscentral.com/xbox-one-dmz-guide

    https://www.ubisoft.com/help/connec...article/setting-up-dmz-for-xbox-one/000061024

There is also this complete guide about NAT errors and configuration on the Xbox website, I recommend it:

    https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/connect-network/xbox-one-nat-error

    ----------------------------------------
    Setting the DMZ
    ----------------------------------------

    ----------------------------------------
    A) On your Router
    ----------------------------------------
    1. Make sure to use the ethernet cable connection, it is more reliable than the Wi-Fi one. (If possible)

    2. You then, have to assign a static (fixed) IP for your Xbox console on your router, which will enable you to do the next steps

    3. Turn on DMZ under the IP you selected for your Xbox Console.

    4. Turn on UPnP on your router

By doing that, you'll pretty much have an open and direct connection to the game servers.

    ----------------------------------------
    B) On the Xbox Console
    ----------------------------------------

    Configure the network settings accordingly.

    Enter the Settings menu.

Under the General tab, select Network Settings then Advanced Settings.

Take note of the information displayed

    Select IP Settings > Manual.

Enter the same IP you configured on your router DMZ.

    I hope this helps.

How do I fix my party chat connection? (Error 0x8924000D)

    Hello Codzilla584,

Have you tried the hotspot connection, did it work?

As for the DMZ, mine is under the NAT Forwarding section of the router.

Try changing it to Advanced Mode, if your router has that option.

But, I highly recommend you contact your Internet Provider, they should be able to do this for you.

If not the DMZ, you can ask them to open the Xbox Port:

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP)

    Port 500 (UDP)

    Port 3544 (UDP)

    Port 4500 (UDP)

Hi Rodrigo, thank you very much for the reply and suggestive solutions.

I’ve changed my DNS you suggested however I fairly sure it hasn’t changed the result.

I have access to my router settings but cannot find a DMZ option anywhere. There are options for static routes, however it explains that I must activate the Ethernet WAN mode type.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

    Thanks again.

Error Code when trying to log in

this is happening to me also, but my error code is 0x80a4001b

But when I put the code in to the error code search it says there's no error code like that.

I forgot to add this link, the error codes are given for a reason, you may find it handy if you get error codes although not every error code gives a possible solution.
