Error code: 0x89231806 Blocking Party chat

Update: Ever since iSaid the truth of the matter of them doing sloppy work...iCant log into the Destiny servers. Hmm...Xbox is working perfectly fine, as well as other games being able to b played online. Thanks for changing my "online access priviledges."
Now iCant play a game iPaid for AT ALL!!!

 

had this issue, microsofts soultions were as follows: run your entire home network through your xbox (because my pc not being able to use the app is my xboxs fault?) and wait for update. update bricked my xbox so i bought a ps4. too bad xbox can't make cross
platform work, saw it coming though, they generally fail at innovative things. get a ps4 party chat works and your friends will be over there within a year...

 

Ok guys, thats real ***. I'm in beta as most of you, and everything was fine until last thurday, 26 Nov. Since then I cant enter in a party. What I really don't understand is WHY in hell it blocks as even with Nat Open. I mean, its stupid. I repported the
problem, but I don't know how much time it will take to solve.

Is there a way to switch back to the old dashboard while you solve this guys?

 

Honestly all i see is complaining from you guys! Relax if they are working on it, then they are WORKING on it! Be patient! I just don't understand!

 

Yeah seriously relax, do you expect party chat to work? It's not like you had party chat on the 360 for years, and now it doesn't work on the next gen console.

Hi Spangler, Thanks for reporting, Can you tell us what version of the app your using? Are you also seeing this issue when using the Xbox App (Beta)? You can DL the app
www.microsoft.com/.../9NBLGGH1J27H or go to the Store app, search for “Xbox beta” and it will show up as a search result.

I have the same problem: coudn't join party chat nor automatically disconnect myself after I invite friends to my party.

my NAT type is open and has no problem with my network and router (Teredo interface enabled already)

and I figured it out that it is due to the accident shut down during the gaming last night, after I completely reboot my xbox one, I can join the party chat now. hope this helps.

Mine is the same (December 28th 2015) plus when in game play on multiplayer it seems to lag majorly (37mbps)

I'm having this same issue. I was playing in a party last night when my xbox wouldn't open BF4 without me inserting the disk. I did a hard reset and then now this error code??? Router reset, NAT is open, multiplayer test completed and it say "it's all good"
and that My xbox is behind a cone NAT, yet the problem remains. Xbox support, PLEASE HELP!!!

 

I'm getting this exact issue. Why does the XBOX One Party chat suffer so many issues? It's amazing how on the XBOX 360 there wasn't this many problems with the party chat. Now with the XBOX One it's been nothing but issues with the Party chat since the
system was released.

I'm also tired of Microsoft constantly suggesting to do a hard reset on the system. It seems to be their answer to everything. Have a problem? Hard reset your system.

Was working fine last night(29th). Try and join a party today and cant. Get the 0x89231806 error. Really annoying. Tried on regular Xbox App and the Beta. All my ports are forwarded and have been for awhile now.

 

I just got thia issue and it tols me i could not connect to the party cause of my network. I went to network settings and it said that my nat type of strict.... Which I know that it's not! So a hard reset on my xbox and now I'm able to get in the party chat.
Hope this works for some of y'all
