    I just solved, do the following:

    1- On Xbox, go to Settings, Power and Boot, COMPLETE SHUT OFF,

    2- Turn off your MODEM / ROUTER,

    3- Turn on the Xbox (you will be without an internet connection), try connecting to LIVE (it will not connect clear).

    4- Turn the Xbox Off completely.

    5- Turn on the Modem / Router, wait at least one minute and

    6- Turn on the Xbox and perform the UPDATE.

    The update should normally take place.

    Your advice has helped me to not look at this with tunnel vision. There are actually others who have similar problems.

    I'm guessing it could be network related - so I will try some modem cable changes etc. If still no success I will attempt an offline update.

    Apparently error code 0x8923000a doesn't exist?

    I got this too!

    Just opened a brand new One S and the initial update failed with the exact same error codes.

    Each time I tried to update it would progress a little further with each attempt. 20%, 23%, 26% etc....

    I wonder if I kept attempting, it would eventually update, lol.
