error code 0x87e00064 on NBA (Brand new game just got it out of the box)

Still haven't replied but will make sure I post the solution when one is found

 

Just got the game today had the same problem, found a fix that actually works.

1. boot the xbox one with internet connected

2. remove the bluray app ( if already installed)

3. install the bluray app

4. insert nba 2k15 disc

5. xbox one says there are updates available for nba2k15. accept these updates

6. install nba 2k15, it will error on 4%.

7. Remove nba 2k15 completely from your hard drive via My games and Apps

8. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART, on your home screen press start on NBA 2K where it should say installation stopped, then click on manage game, you should be taken to a screen where it's just nba 2k, uninstall on this screen and on the same screen you
can then click install and youre all set.

****NOTE**** This will take significantly longer than installing straight off the disk, what this will do is actually download the game to your xbox, so it could take a couple of hours or longer depending on your connection.

this will 100% work.

I'm having the same problems so I'm taking the game back getting my money back then getting a different game coz this is ridiculous

Found a similar fix!!!

1) uninstall Blu-ray app

2) when you get the installation stopped error go to the game in the xbox store. A button should say "install" in the xbox store

3) remove your disc and immediately click the install button in the xbox store. This will download the game instead of installation it from the disc.

Takes much longer but worked for me.

 

ncutt010. do you still need the disc this way then as your getting the game digitally?

 

Whenever I try to search up the error code it says it doesn't exist

 

This is the same as me, says its dirty or damaged but not one mark on my disk. i get to 4% aswell.
