error code (0x87c40000) cant access my friends list for 2 months now

See if the following might help -

Step 1: Clear System cache

To clear system cache press and hold the Xbox One power button for 5 – 10 seconds.

Clearing the system cache also clears the network card so any changes that have been done take action. ( Ex. Manually IP address put in, only way for change to be in effect , press and hold power button 5 -10 seconds).

If problem isn't resolved please go to step 2

Step 2: Check Nat setting settings

Press the Menu button on the Xbox One controller.

Select Settings.

Select Network.

On the Network settings screen, under Current Network Status, the NAT Type field will tell you your current NAT type.

Step 3 : Restore Console To Factory Default

Before restoring to factory , keep in mind you will lose all accounts, apps, games, saved games and settings. Proceed only if all previous steps did not work.

Press the Xbox button on your controller and select Settings. Or, say “Xbox, go to Settings”.

Select System.

Select Restore factory defaults.

Read the warning message and select Yes.

Your Xbox One console will now begin the process of erasing all content and resetting itself to the default settings.

I can't acces my friends list and I can't invite friends to a group ( errors : 0x87c40000 and 0x87c40001 ) since sunday in the evening , very frustrating !!

The only thing I did differently between last night and tonight was setting to "appear offline"

Has anyone else done this? Perhaps it is a bug within that setting.

1st, I searched XBL website for this error and it wasn't found. 1 thread was found from Oct in which someone replied yesterday about having multiple profiles open & closing all but 1 seemed to fix. That thread is now locked.

I only have 1 profile on my XB1. So, what is this error and why am I getting it? It comes up trying to invite a friend to my party or when trying to view my friend's list.

How can the XB1 Platform generate an error code and XB's website not even know what that code is?!?!

Oh, and my friend tries sending me invites and he gets "Try again soon, not sure what happened there. (0x87c40000).

LoL... this is comical sometimes. "Not sure what happened, but you bought a $400 paper weight!"

I swear, every day I get on it is something else... getting tired of spending $400+ for a box that works "some of the time"

This is unacceptable to be happening to a service we PAY for. It's gotten to the point that if it's not working by the time my XBL runs out I'm NOT buying another subscription and will be selling my XB1, I REFUSE to pay for a service that does not work provided
by a company that does not make efforts to make up for the buggy service.
