Error code 0x87c40000 and friends list

i agree every day there are issues of gamer pics not loading , freinds page being empty and so many more it is insane that even on the forums it only shows your recent 360 games its like there not compatible in any way , the compititon service is amazing
and perfect all systems are united across the board so you can find out any info on any platform from that company why cant i see achivments from my x1 on the 360 or people cant see the last game i played if it is a x1 game . There are to many issues , jack
of all trades and the master at none and thats what it feels like .

 

They seem to freggin concerned with making the Xbox into a TV/social media platform instead of nailing down the core purpose of the system, gaming.

 

I'm not sure if it's on their side or mine but now because of the friend list probs I'm getting an error 0x87c40000 when I'm looking at my friends page or mine. It was working fine earlier in the day. I just got this Xbox one in December and I followed the
instructions on how to deal with this error on this site and others. I even did a factory default and still the same. The weird part is that only once I was able to view one of my friends page, but when I viewed others and his page again I got the same error.
I'm just guessing it's a server error like the 100% packet loss for multiplayer connection. I'd be really upset if I have to send the Xbox one for replacement.

 

So tired of live not working on the one. If this is the next-gen of consoles I think I want to stay living in the past. At least the 360 works. You would think that with all the money Xbox spent on there 300,000 xbox one servers they would have checked to
see if they worked right.

 

I'm having the same issues but today is the worst it has ever been. Friends list disappears at least every other day. If u check service status there is always some service down for the one. And here lately it is usually social and gaming...lol. It is ridiculous
that they can't get this working right.

 

I am having the same issue. I tried to reset the cache and tried unplugging the console from the wall entirely. Nothing.

...so much for one last day of gaming with friends before prepping for my dissertation defense. It's unbelievable this issue still exists three months after initially reported. I hope they clean house and replace with more competent programmers/engineers.

 

I experience this issue from time to time, and it often seems to resolve itself. Tonight however, the issue has been persistent. A bunch of my XBL buddies and I are unable to connect with each other.

 

Naturally I see nobody from Xbox will make a peep about an issue they know has been ongoing

 

Crotas' raid, Destiny. At the end about to fight Crota himself and voil someone drops due to a bad connection.. No problem we'll just hop on the ol' friends list and invite someone in to fill the empty slot. Sounds easy enough, wrong! According to my friends
list no one is online, more accurately I have no friends.. 2hrs on a raid down the drain! it's all good I'll come back in 5 hrs should be fixed by then, wrong again..

This is without a doubt the buggiest console that has ever existed!!! At Least the 360 just red ringed you. You knew something was physically wrong with your device, this system constantly goes down and up and down and when you ask what's wrong "it's on
your end not ours" gimme a break.

Fix this for [Mod Removed] sake!

 

This is unacceptable to be happening to a service we PAY for. It's gotten to the point that if it's not working by the time my XBL runs out I'm NOT buying another subscription and will be selling my XB1, I REFUSE to pay for a service that does not work provided
by a company that does not make efforts to make up for the buggy service.

 

"Try again in a while, we can't send invites right now."

1st, I searched XBL website for this error and it wasn't found. 1 thread was found from Oct in which someone replied yesterday about having multiple profiles open & closing all but 1 seemed to fix. That thread is now locked.

I only have 1 profile on my XB1. So, what is this error and why am I getting it? It comes up trying to invite a friend to my party or when trying to view my friend's list.

How can the XB1 Platform generate an error code and XB's website not even know what that code is?!?!

Oh, and my friend tries sending me invites and he gets "Try again soon, not sure what happened there. (0x87c40000).

LoL... this is comical sometimes. "Not sure what happened, but you bought a $400 paper weight!"

I swear, every day I get on it is something else... getting tired of spending $400+ for a box that works "some of the time"

 

The only thing I did differently between last night and tonight was setting to "appear offline"

Has anyone else done this? Perhaps it is a bug within that setting.

 

This is really getting annoying, microsoft fix this issue. I know it's not my internet connection cause my 360 doesn't have this issue just higher priced new console that doesn't have a wireless mic.

 

I was told that there is a way to get an update sent to me when it's fixed , do y'all know how I can do that ??

 

I assure you there looking into it, as well as other issues that have been reported today.
