Error code 0x80bd0009 xbox one x

upgraded to one x and still have the 0x80bd0009 problem. Can't select 5.1 or 7.1 surround white on 4K. Been a major problem for almost 2 years. Xbox is plugged directly into Samsung ks9000 4k tv, and going to the receiver (str1030) with HDMI ARC.

Dolby Atmos and LG OLED 55C7V

Bad audio issue: Tv LG OLED 55 c7v, Xbox One X getting error 0x80bd0009 while trying to select dolby atmos for tv or headphones. All other audio-video options are perfeclty working (for example I can select Dolby Surround or DTS Surround bitstream).

Any help?

Hey I need help, I cant play any of my games (error code: 0x800706ba) and the sound of my audio output doesn't work either (error code: 0x80bd0009)

 

I am having the same problem. If I set the xbox settings to HDMI instead of Auto, it won't let me push 4K but it allows me to select 5.1, so I believe it's an issue with the 4K settings.

 

I have the same problem but i cant even enable 5.1 audio i can enable 5.1 audio but if i select HDMI on video output, instead of automatic. But that only allows me to select 1080p resolution, not 4k. So i can only use 4k or 5.1 audio on Xbox One X

 

Hello, i had the same problem with my HDMI home-theater, i couldn't get HDMI sound passtrough 5.1 (error 0x80bd0009) probably due to 4K resolution. I found a solution so i hope it could help you, it just need to be configured first in manual 1080P, it's
just a bug of the autodetect resolution mode that almost never works for passthrough sound even in 1080p now. First you need to switch in display and sound TV connection from Auto-detect to HDMI. Then you'll have a poor resolution. You'll have to switch to
1080P and then accept all the options available in advanced video options and on the right for games and apps, don't forget to select : Allow 4k. When you'll have done this you'll need to go in audio output and select under speaker audio HDMI audio and 5.1
passthrough (or 7.1 depending on your home-cinema). Here you shouldn't get the error code (0x80bd0009). Then you'll just need to get back to Display and sound and go back to Display Auto-detect and then go back to 4k resolution. It worked for me as i was getting
the same error for month, after xbox upgrade, while at first it worked perfectly with the same material. Hope this will help you! Bye.

 

I'm recently having the same issue but with the added perk of 3D no longer functioning. It still let's me check and everything and the test works but every movie I try (several discs marked 3d only and some I've watched before in 3d on same xbox) the timing
seems to correlate with 7.1 no longer functioning
