    Hi have a sony led tv 4k and sony ht-st-5000 sound bar dolby atmos etc I have my xbox one x HDMI lead connect from the xb1 to the TV and HMDI lead from the LED TV going to sound bar for sound or picture i forget which one sorry.I keep getting this message

    Hello, I have problem to set up DOLBY atmos via xboxone S. I have connected xbox one S to TVsamsung UE50NU7452UXXH via HDMI and then connected soundbar Sony HT-XF9000 to TV via ARC HDMI. When I go to settings in xbox one S in order to set up DOLBY atmos,unfortunately
    it is showing me follow error message:

    "THere was a problem using this setting, Make sure your audio receiver support it. Also, make sure to choose at least one audio setting, Both cannot be off (0x80bd0009)"

    I spoke to sony they said my 4k tv is fine and set up correct but did not what else to try.Im guessing its a soundbar issue ? or maybe the xbox setting ? i think it is some thing basic but im not sure what im messing.If i use ATMOS HEADSET this works fine.But
    i want to use the soundbar speakers.

    can tell me what set you have and what i can try ? i have my tv and xbox x set in 4k 2160p etc

    any help advice please.

    How do you set up dolby atmos on xbox one without getting this error code 0x80bd0009

    I ve done all that. When I select dolby atmos in the settings on m xbox it gives me an error code 0x80bd0009

    Jasmine,

    I changed the HDMI cable from the soundbar to the tv. Then I installed Dolby Atmos and followed the set-up instructions. When I changed the audio box for HDMI audio 5.1 compressed to bitstream out, I got the 0x80bd0009 error code again. Looks like
    I'm back to square one again.

    Hi,

    Its an error you can get even without dolby atmos in some case, i think you put the display settings as automatic...

    1st set sound as stereo then go to display settings, choose your TV type 4k, 1080p..., NOT automatic, save and then restart console.

    Finally set atmos.

    It should work.
