    Sorry to hear that you're also experiencing this problem but this error is a result of our Xbox Live Service
    being down for the moment. If you go to our support site, you can have them notify you as to when our service. Once it is, you should be able to access your content freely.

    In regards to the error "0x80a4001a" I have found a link for more troubleshooting steps.

    Error 0x80a4001a occurs when you’re
    prompted for your password     (Telling you to remove the account and re-add it)

    I do understand your concern about losing game content, but the answer is no.

    No, you will not lose any game saves just make sure you are connected with a good network source.

    Also, if the game crashes or if you happen to stop the sync, then just restart the console or uninstall the account and re-install the profile.
