done everything to xboxone router etc an tech support gave me a 4 day waiting time. any ideas on what it could be. all it says when I try to sign in is try again later there was a problem and we couldn't continue(0x80a40008)

I am having trouble signing my Xbox live account into my new Xbox 1. I typed in my email and password for my account and selected my parent's account to approve the Terms of Agreement. A message box popped up saying try again later and it had the code 0x80a40008.
I have tried this six times with the same result. What should I do?

Code 0x80a40008 refers to an unexpected sign in error.

The solution suggests to go "Xbox, go home" Sign out all users if possible, and try to find your profile, and try to sign in again. If you are still having issues, try trouble shooting with your Kinect to see if it recognizes you. If you are still receiving
the same error code, then you will need to speak with Xbox Support to get further technical assistance with your Xbox One.

Here is a simple guide to do so:

Otherwise you can try a hard reset by pressing down on the Xbox Power Button Located on your console. Hold that down for 10 seconds and do a full fresh reboot. Try signing in from there.

No doubt he has the same issue. His name is one generated after a FNC which has not been provisioned for in the new beta dash. I also was given the 4 day wait time which is drawing close. This is garbage!

 

ya my name used to be futtbucker757 but when I called about this issue they changed it when it was put in the computer automatically. I talked to another tech yesterday just to make sure my request is being revised an he said still 4 days 2 days later. hoping
it gets fixed by Tuesday...

actual curse word.

My only advice is try to re-read some of this to stay under the radar. Players can report other players for misleading/related and offensive language.

yes i understand it was borderline but I should get to change it to a tag of my choice since I paid 10 dollars to switch my tag after purchasing a 500 dollar system and paying monthly to play it. Microsoft really has to squeeze 10 more dollars out my wallet
but on top of that I cant play it b/c my account is not able to open so the other 200$ plus worth of games and movies I purchased with this profile cannot be played, viewed or even be accounted for at this moment. this is day 5 since ive not been able to get
online so im starting to get little frustrated about this hiccup that cant be 'fixed'.

 

hey man, i received the same exact error and have gone back and forth with support about this since thursday. my guess is they have no clue what the issue is as they never give me an answer as to what is going on. ive had it with this system. the account
works fine on my 360 btw.

 

that's crazy I talked to them Wednesday an Thursday an everyone is lost. no clue what to do I personally tried everything in my power so either it cant be fixed or xbox support will have to fix it so now we wait:/

Yeah I have tried everything to fix this short of doing a factory reset which I am sure will not work then lead me to have to reinstall and download everything which will probably be shortly followed by my throwing the xbone off my deck into the pool.

Nup. M$ wont prioritize it either cause it would be only a problem for a chosen few (one guy tapping away during business hours!). This sucks so bad!
