error code 0x8082002

hello

I bought a new Xbox One
I come in, when they put on the market
without the Kinect.

I do all the updates including In
August 2014, after months I have a
game (Diablo 3 Ultimate
Evil Edition) and the hard part
is not giving me the error code 0x8082002

I tried to bring the console to
start ... was to unplug the power cord
for 3 minutes, but it is not solved.

How can I move? someone is
successful and has resolved?

Error Code 0x8082002 - Warranty concern

Hi,

I have had an XBOX one since January 2013 and it has been great forever.

I spend 95% of my xbox time playing FIFA 15, and so that disc hardly ever comes out of the XBOX. Never used it for Blu Ray either because I have a blu ray player connected to the same projector.

Recently, I underwent a ACL reconstruction and am unable to move much till i recover from this. Due to this, I asked my wife to move the XBOX to the bed room where I spent most of my time these days. I played FIFA here and it worked fine. Last night, we
thought we'd watch a blu ray with our daughter, so we took out the FIFA disc (after 8 months) and inserted the blu ray disc. The system would not detect the disc.

I thought maybe there's a mismatch of the disc region, and later that night decided to play FIFA again. This time it wouldn't recognize the FIFA disc either.

This was the start of the 0x80820002 error for me.

I got on a chat with XBOX support and they did some resetting, power cycling, persistent storage purge, etc. and somehow the blu-ray started working, but the blu-ray wasn't seamless. It was jumpy and eventually crashed the XBOX causing a reboot. When the
blu ray had started working, I had thanked and closed the discussion with the XBOX support.

Now i got on another call with them, and they went through another series of troubleshooting, finally coming to the conclusion that the XBOX has to be repaired or replaced.

I am out of warranty - but as I understand - this error (0x8082002) is caused by an update causing the disc type to become unrecognizable.

Now I should also mention that my system had always been on instant-on mode, therefore the disc has worked fine till 3rd week of January. In the reset that i was made to do by XBOX support, included the changing of the power mode to energy saving.

Anyways, i was told that the repair will cost me $135 because I am out of warranty. That feels wrong to me if the disc issue and the error is caused by a system update.

Any guidance is welcome.

contact consumer affairs and do some research on the code

it was caused by a update, therefore as far as im concerned, warranty or no warranty its their responsibility to fix it

google the code its all over the internet, lots of unhappy owners
