Error Code 0x803F8001 when opening MS Mahjong

Discus and support Error Code 0x803F8001 when opening MS Mahjong in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; Repeatedly get this error when trying to run Mahjong.     Error Code 0x803F8001 when opening MS Mahjong


    Repeatedly get this error when trying to run Mahjong.

    I've tried to download it again from the MS Store, but it will not let me do this - it says that I have this installed.

    However, Mahjong has now disappeared from 'Start' => 'All Apps' listing.

    How should I proceed?

    Also, when trying to access the Xbox forum I repeatedly get this error condition -

    An error occurred while processing your request.

    I've seen the post at

    Thanks. I finally(!) found out HOW to uninstall the app and reinstall it from the Store. That does seem to have worked although not all of my data was saved. Not a problem for me though. The good old days of going to
    a DOS prompt and entering a command are gone forever. I do miss 'em though.
