    Error code 0x80073cf6 when installing Amazon video


    Amazon video stopped working so I went to reinstall it. When I go to reinstall it, the Xbox sounds like it is trying to access the CD drive. It tries to install for a while and then fails.

    After a hard reboot it appears to install but gives the above error code. After closing the error screen, the app is uninstalled again.

    I can't find anything on the net for this code; any help would be appreciated.

    Amazon Prime Video App not working

    The Amazon Prime Video app is not loading on my Xbox One X. For a week it was loading but any video stuttered and crashed the app. Now it’s not opening at all and showing the error code 0x80073cf6. After searching for the error code on the support page nothing
    comes up.

    I deleted and reinstalled the app. That did not help.

    - done full factory reset twice

    - tested other accounts

    - able to install apps on other console

    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console has powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Wait a few minutes and then plug in your console.
    • Power on your console and navigate to My Games & Apps.
    • Select the Amazon Video app from the Ready to Install section.
    • Select Install and check to see if run into the error code again.
