Error code: 0x80073cf3 trying to download 2 particular games. Other games work just fine.

After buying Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, I went to install the Xbox app. I then went ahead to try to install World War Z and Fallout 76. Somehow, those two games gave the error code 0x80073cf3. It said to wait for a while before trying again. I did that and it still did not work.

I went to ask for help with the "Message a gamer in the community" option in the support page. They gave me a whole list of things to try out; clear cache, upgrade to latest version, wsreset, etc. But to my dismay, all of these do not work.

I then waited for a couple of hours to try and test it out again. I tried to install other games instead and it worked just fine. But when it comes to installing those two games, it still does not work.

Please help me.

This is the list the support person gave me:

1. Check if you have the right Game Pass Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/ Make sure that gamepass for pc or ultimate is active.

2.Clear Cache of Xbox Game Pass App Go to Settings > Apps and then click on the Xbox App. Click on Advanced and then click on Reset or Repair Close the app, relaunch and check if you can install the Xbox Game Pass Games on Windows PC

3. Upgrade to the latest version of Windows 10 Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates. If updates are available, install them then restart pc and try again.

4. Gine Admin privileges for Games Part of games may need admin privileges for it to install and work properly. I would suggest you always to install games with admin privileges. If you are not an admin user, make sure to ask someone to install the games for you. A local admin account works as well.

5. Change regional settings Some users confirmed that changing regional settings helped them fix the problem. Simply change your region to United States, Canada or United Kingdom following these instructions:

Go to Start > go to Settings > go to Time & language Select Region & language > change your country or region Restart your computer and check if the issue persists.

6. Press Windows Key + R to launch Run Enter wsreset.exe > hit Enter Once the reset process completes, restart the Microsoft Store. REstart pc and try again.

I think a few others are having the same problem when installing The Outer Worlds, maybe try to re-install it?
