Error code 0x80072EE7 on xbox app for windows 10. Help?

I've been trying to sign into xbox live on this app for hours now and it refuses to let me sign in.

It just tells me "We were unable to sign you in to xbox live." It tells me to try again in awhile then says there's a few solutions.

When i click on the error code (0x80072EE7) it brings up an xbox support page in google that has NOTHING. I have scoured everywhere and done everything i could to fix this, I have repaired and reset the app, uninstalled and reinstalled, checked if my firewall
was on, checked if my time and date settings were automatic. I still cant sign in. I'm a tad frustrated because I'd like to actually use this app but I can't do much without signing in.

If anyone could assist me in any way I would really appreciate it, I'm not the most computer savvy so I may have overlooked some other troubleshooting methods in fear of messing something up. Please help. I just wanna play my games.

Edit: I also cannot even download games from gamepass from the app. Is this app even functional? I'm getting increasingly more irritated as I use this.
