Error code: 0x800704c6 - Issue installing SOME games on Xbox Beta

Hi there

So have just recently installed Xbox Beta and successfully downloaded Gears Tactics, Streets of Rage 4 and Gears 5 on Game Pass. Then something went wrong with Tactics - presume an auto update. I couldn't get it to fix itself so I thought I would try from
scratch. But it won't reinstall. It starts the download then pauses with an error.

Looking in forums etc I have gone to Xbox networking and hit "Fix it". Although there was nothing wrong with connection other than some latency. I have tried changing download destination to my spinning drive.

Couple odd things -

1. Seems like some games will still download, I successfully downloaded Frostpunk yesterday. But I tried Outer Worlds just now and that seemed to get stuck. But now I have Plague Tale downloading and hogging my entire bandwidth.

2. Gears Tactics always gets stuck on either 246.1MB or 246.7MB. Bizarre.

Thanks for getting back to me. That is a 2015 guide so some of the directions were out of date.

None of this has worked. I had already tried all of these except for the pausing system update.

Tempted to try a fresh install as it did work originally. But this install is only a few weeks old.

I've had this happen to me. I would
recommend following the steps on this page. The last one (resetting Windows Update) worked for me last time, but it's important to try the other steps prior to that to see if they work.

Let us know if it doesn't and we'll see what we can do for more troubleshooting steps.

Hello,

Getting 'We couldn't connect you to the service.' error with code: 0x800704C6.

This happens when downloading games from Microsoft Store app or within the Xbox (Beta) app.

I've tried to do troubleshooting steps of: https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/games-apps/troubleshooting/troubleshoot-games-windows-10

But no changes.

Someone posted this already (Link) and they fixed with upgrade of Router Firmware, but mine is already
up to date (for reference Asus RT-AC87U).

Check to see if the internet is running good in the test internet connection. Also see if the xbox servers are down at xbox support.
