1.Press Windows Key + i and go to apps, search for ''gaming services'' click ''advanced options'' and then ''terminate, repair and reset. Try installing the game again.

Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter

“get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”

Restart your PC, open PowerShell as admin again, and enter

“start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”

The Microsoft Store will open and ask to install Gaming Services, install. Then try installing any game again.

Hey, Samy. I tried using the troubleshooters, the windows store troubleshooter said that an app is hanging/crashing but didn't give me any extra details beyond that. As for updating the computer, clearing the cache and temporary files, none of that seemed to work either.

Yes, I have 4 drives, my C, G, E, and F drive. I believe state of decay used to be installed on my E drive. I've tried installing it on all 4 and I get the same error.

No worries, follow these steps.

Step 1

Reset Windows Update components manually.

- Stop BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer and Windows Update Services. To do this, type the following commands at the command prompt.

Simultaneously press the Windows + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin).

At the Command Prompt screen type the commands below and press Enter at the end of each line:

net stop wuauserv

net stop bits

net stop cryptsvc

net stop msiserver

- Also rename the Windows Update folders following the steps below:

In My Computer click C: ;

Click on the Windows folder;

Locate the folders below, right-click on them and click Rename. Add .old to the end of each name:

c:/ > Windows > SoftwareDistribution for SoftwareDistribution.old

c:// > Windows > System32 > catroot2 to catroot2.old

Restart the computer.

Step 2

Run System File Checker (SFC.exe) to search for and fix corrupt files:

Click on Start and type CMD in the search box;

Right-click on the Command Prompt option;

Click on the Run as Administrator option;

At the Command Prompt screen type SFC /SCANNOW and press Enter (this procedure will take a few minutes).

After running this tool, a report will be presented with the files corrected or not.

Step 3

If it doesn't work, run the DISM Command that does the Management and Maintenance of the Windows Image through the steps below:

Simultaneously click on the Windows + X keys;

In the options that appear, click on Command Prompt (Admin);

On the Command Prompt screen, type the commands below in the order they are presented:

Command: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth (enter)

Command: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (enter)
