    I got on xbox today and i wanted to play sea of theives, but i launched the game and in the loading screen it gave me a error message telling me to reset console. I reset my console, didnt work. I unpluged the power brick for 30 seconds, didnt work. I
    held the xbox button for 5 seconds, still didnt work. I tried almost everything and nothing worked. I cant play sea of thieves, war thunder, or terreria because it keeps kicking me out and giving me this message. Also when its trying to load me in, i went
    to accept a party invite and it was lagging really bad in the friends menu. Its weird because i can play other games like modern warfare and rainbow six seige. I hope someone can help.

    Error code 0x80070017 usually refers to bad media, well in terms of windows error logging, I assume this is not much different.

    Can x1 play dvd's etc, if so maybe see if the drive is working, best I can come up with..

    If it's the same code as the xbox 360 code, then it means it can't download. Try disconnecting the xbox from xbox live and see if that helps, some users are stating that the game is downloading the update for the game before it installs from the disc.
