From the description you have provided it seems you are unable to launch Microsoft Flight Simulator in your Windows 11 computer. Apparently, an 0x80070102 error code appears when you launch the game.



This issue may have been caused by settings in Windows or the game itself that need to be changed. Or it may also be a problem Microsoft account you are using to log in to the game. So let us work together as a team to get to the bottom of this. But to better assist you I need to ask:



1) Do you have the Steam version of Microsoft Flight Simulator? Or the Xbox version?



2) When you launch the game are you getting the 0x80070102 error code like in the photo below? By the way that's a different game.







3) How long have you had this issue? Days? Weeks? Months?



4) What version of Windows 11 are you using? We specifically need the edition and version number of Windows your device is running. To find out which version of Windows your device is running, press the Windows logo key + R, type winver in the Open box, and then select OK. You'll get the window below and we need the information highlighted in red.





5) Can you provide us a photo of your System Information window similar to the sample below? To get to this window please type msinfo32 in the Search box. Right-click System Information in the search results and select Run as administrator.





6) Can you tell me how much free space your C drive has? Please use our Find out how much storage your PC has guide.

Thank you for your response. I was able to load MS Flight Simulator after updating my XBox application.

I have run into problems with the program shutting down when it detects probles with my GPS. I suspect it is a heat problem but appreciate any other thoughts on potential solutions.

Hi David,

When you say "problems with the program shutting down" do you mean it crashes do the Windows 11 desktop? While something happens with the in-game GPS?

If so, is there link any error message or code that appears when the game shuts down?

Same problem. Flight Simulator won't launch from MS Store and reports this error. Also on Dev build 20190. How will we know when Microsoft resolves this issue?
