Error code 0x80070057 call of duty ghost

Since call of duty ghost was on sale this week I have bought the digital hardened edition. However I cannot download it when I press the install button in the store gives my the error code 0x80070057. I don't know why it doesn't work since I have bought
several other games that day which installed and work just fine. I have tried resetting my console but that didn't change anything I have also tried to download it to an external hard drive but even that it wouldn't do (the hard drive works fine for other
games). The basic game appeared in my gamelist however if I download it and select manage game the dlc are not available. Any suggestion to fix this would be appreciated.

I have a similar problem since I have bought call of duty ghost in the xbox store recently and every time I try to install or download it it just says error code 0x80070057 however I cannot redownload it since I have never downloaded it.

Hey Mister Cizl. Thanks for the reply and to answer your question. The main game appeared in my list of owned games and I was able to download that but the DLC are still unavailable for download and I still cannot install the digital hardened edition from
the store itself which is necessary to get the season pass needed to download the DLC. If I manage to install the digital hardened edition from the store (or if I find another way to install the DLC) I will post it here.

 

Hey burnninggalaxyX! Although the Hardened Edition shows as not available, the DLC may be visible under Manage Game menu for Call of Duty: Ghosts. To get to the Manage Game menu, navigate to the Call of Duty: Ghosts tile in the My Games & Apps app, hit the
menu button, and select Manage Game. This should display the DLC as ready to install. Please try these steps and post back letting us know how it goes!

 

Hey Mister Cizl. Thank you for the suggestion I have tried but in the manage game menu only one DLC is available (wolf skin). I am not sure but I believe that DLC is also available with the gold edition of the game. Since it sometimes takes some time to
load the list I waited an hour while connected to cable and they still didn't appear (internet speed was about 30Mb/s so that can't have been the problem).

 

Hey burnninggalaxyX! Try uninstalling anything Call of Duty: Ghosts related including the wolf skin, then attempt to download the hardened edition directly from the store. Please post back and let me know how this works for you, and if it doesn't work let
me know what you saw so i can do some more digging. Screenshots posted to any file sharing site like
OneDrive and linked here would help but are not necessary.

Hey Mister Cizl. I do indeed have another console on that network (xbox 360 slim). After disconnecting this console from the same network it would still give me the same error code. I have also tried to disconnect as many other devices as possible from the
same network to see if they might be interfering as well but sadly it still gave the same error code.

 

Hey burnninggalaxyX! At this point i would suggest a factory reset of the console to see if that will clear up the issue. You can follow these

Hey Mister Cizl. I tried both reset options and sadly it still gave me the same error code. I noticed something weird thou. When I looked at other game bundles that I own and open them in the store (even when not installed) there is an manage game button
instead of an install button. Only the base game without DLC has an install button on my other games. I hope this information may help in solving the problem.

Hi burnninggalaxyX, I have this issue since last september, same boat as you I bougth the hardened on sale and got the same exact error code. Contacting the support doesn't help, both xbox and activision can't do anything about it. I think it's a problem
with the hardened edition contents in it, when you go on the xbox store from the website you can see what's include in the special edition of all games, but not ghosts, nothing in the hardened edition. Anyway, you can go to the season pass page, click on install
and after that install the dlc one by one, or go to the in game store and install the dlc there, it works for me.
