    Error code: 0x80070005 pc gamepass when trying to download games requiring administrator...


    I tried both on xbox (beta) and microsoft store to download gamepass games. Keep getting the 0x80070005.

    Weirdly enough the error only happens for games that requiring administrator approval

    Tried reinstalling xbox beta, changing installation drive, restarting pc (obviously), and pc is updated to the latest version.

    Not sure what's wrong?

    I had the same problem and have found the solution.

    Download and install a free program called 'CCleaner'.

    Uninstall XBox Beta App

    Run CCleaner, and do an 'Easy Clean' (Where it analyses and cleans any junk\cookies\trackers you have), after that click on the 'Registry' tab and click 'Scan for issues' when it has finished make sure you click 'Fix all issues' (Back up the registry if
    you want to, it offers that option.)

    Restart the computer

    Download and reinstall XBox Bets App from the Windows Store

    Should work fine.

    Just followed these instructions as found them myself on the internet and after struggling with error messages on all games that require 'Run by administrator' for days and days, this has fixed it.

    Aye seems like most of the questions asked here is about the same problem. Makes me wonder why they haven't said a word about this. Even if its in beta it shouldnt be this broken.
