error code 0x80004005 when trying to log into xbox live on pc

HI Tnort09. When your trying to log in is it with the Xbox App or with a specific game? Are you also experiencing error code: 0xc00d11cd (0x80004005) or is it a different code?

I'm having the same problem!! Are you getting error code 0x80004005? I'm also getting that error code when I try to log in to Microsoft Jigsaw AND Microsoft Jackpot.

I've had this problem on PC and I've tried everything. done a complete reinstall of windows 10 from their own website. But still I get this error. I've downloaded Xbox identifier app the game bar, console and the Xbox app itself. I can log into my Xbox account, my MS account but I simply cant get it to work. M.s chat are less than useless and despite the cat guy being unable to help he told me he would have a Tech person call me which they have not. I read hundreds of posts on line, all with various suggestions from Teredo (which i don't know what it is and haven't seen it on my computer) to running and gazillion fault checking programs in Cmd Prmt.

Your suggestion of removing accounts is one I cant do or don't understand. in accounts i see my name as the administrator but cant remove it. i can go to my account at MS but i cant remove that either. Ive now spent over 30 hours trying to fix this. if it was a company machine id be taking someone to court. Can you help before what's left of my hair gets pulled out??

Please try the following fixes.

Step 1

- Go to Xbox.com and click Sign In.

- If there are problems with your account, the instructions will help to resolve them. - If you can't go beyond the login screen, select Forgot my password and follow the instructions.

Step 2

- Click the Windows + I keys

- Click on Time and Language

- Under Date & Time, verify that the Set time automatically setting is turned on.

If the error still persists, try the next step.

Step 3

- Click the Windows + I keys

- Click on Accounts

- Browse to the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select Remove.

- Then go back to Xbox app and reconnect with the Microsoft account you just removed.
