The methods below didnt work.

The Xbox App still giving the error message: "It's not possible to connect now. Try again later" Error Code: (0x409) 0x80080300

I have the same error and tried the method, reinstalled the app and still have the same(0x409) 0xD000000D error

Hi I just had this issue and fixed it, for me, I unlinked my Microsoft and PC account, in the settings, where you can see the account picture, click sign in locally, that will in link your Microsoft account, once that is done you will have to sign in again,
and go to the same menu, go to email and app accounts, and click remove, once that is done, no apps under Microsoft should be linked to your account, and then for me I directly clicked to start up halo wars, it prompted me to log in, once I logged in, the
game started up. Hope this helps, I did not see this anywhere

To determine if there's an issue with your Xbox account, kindly sign in to Xbox.com. If you can sign in, that means your profile is all good. Otherwise, follow the on-screen prompts to update your account information.

Upon verifying that there's no issue with your account, proceed with the troubleshooting solutions below:

5. Restart the device so that the changes can take effect. Launch the app and check if you can sign in.
