    Error code 0x00000001 when trying to install and game on any hard drive


    Recently got the game pass for my PC.

    When launching the Xbox app it shows a notification at the top about now being able to install games and states the error code as mentioned. I have tried the following methods to fix the issue:

    -Restart computer & app

    - updated windows, repaired and reset xbox app and microsoft gaming services

    - used powershell (with admin privileges) to removed and then reinstall gaming services.

    -Downloaded and ran windows 10 installation media (media creation tool)

    - cleared registry and check drivers

    - uninstalled and re-installed Microsoft gaming services and xbox app

    Is there any other solutions I can try as I've have tried these multiple times?

    Help installing games on PC through Xbox app -- Error 0x00000001

    I do receive the same error code when trying to install large games like Halo MCC, Control or Yakuza, but smaller games like Guacamelee appear to install to my hard drive with no issue.

    I am installing the upgrade right now but I'd like to hear any possible solutions in case that doesn't work.

    EDIT: Did not work. Still receiving the same 0x00000001 error.

    Mister Fizzle,

    I am getting this error when I try to load the game.

    I tried to install the game to my hard drive, but no go there either. It won't let me install it to the console's hard drive; doesn't even give me the option to install.

    I tried loading the game without the hard drive attached, no go there either. Same error code of Wrong Region.

    Soooo, I'm still at 0 to try to get BF3 to load and play.
