    Error code 0x00000001 when installing games from the Beta Games Pass App for PC


    Every time I try install a game from the game pass app for PC I get error code 0x00000001 and it stops the download.

    I have restarted my computer many times

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app many times

    I have gone through support chat many times and have stopped receiving replies

    I just updated to version 2004 this morning and did all updates after the fact.

    Any help would be very appreciated

    Hi,

    Not a lot of people know this, but unlike other stand-alone game apps on PC, the Beta App is actually an extension of sorts of the built in Windows Store. You don't even need the App running to launch your games.

    Because of the way the app works with the Windows Store, all error codes are actually Windows error codes, not PC Game Pass errors.

    If you get an error it usually means there is an issue with your Windows installation.

    the day before yesterday i played dbdl. When I started the game today, I got an error: "Dead By Daylight is not currently available in your account. This is the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001".
    When I uninstalled it to download the game again, only the price did not install.
