    Error C000-0185 occurs when downloading the latest update


    I've been having this problem for months now ever since the last update was released. I turned on the Xbox 360 E one day expecting to have a smooth update and the next thing I knew I was greeted with this C000-0185 error. I've tried everything listed here: Error C000-0185 | Update Error | Xbox 360 including
    the "LB RB X LB RB X" trick. NOTHING works. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out with this as it turns out I'm not the only one with this problem apparently.

    Issues with new update

    I have the following error message when installing the new update:

    40A3-416B-1380-267F-C000-0185

    I have tried using a flash drive and get the following error

    40A3-416B-1380-267F-C000-0185

    I have used the chat with customer support and was told to try downloading later because of Network Traffic.

    I tried later with the same results.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this?

    Error C000-0185 occurs when downloading the latest update

    It is possible that it could be an issue with the hard drive itself. Are you able to try a different drive or load the update without a drive installed?

    If that doesn't work then you may need to send the console in for a repair.

    Unfortunately I don't have another Xbox 360 to try my hard drive on, and when I try to update without the hard drive attached I would get an error (I forget the code number) in response to the fact that there is no hard drive.
