Error Adding Child Profile to Xbox 360

I'm having the same problem, I'm told to visit https://www.xbox.com/fixid, which does not help.

My problem is that the Xbox 360 seems to think I'm in the "United States", and hence asks for a credit card number in order to verify my (parent) age. Actually I'm in the UK, so I need to verify by another method. Actually I should not need to at all as
Live Family settings are set up and working fine.. https://www.xbox.com/fixid tells me to change the settings in my Xbox profile and that of my children so it says we're in the UK. Problem is, all profiles already say
we're in the UK, so that can't be corrected. The upshot of this is, I can't verify my age to the Xbox 360, even though everything works fine on the Xbox One X, all parental and family settings work as they should.

Another possibly related issue is not being able to update my gamer picture. Once edited and you click "save", it fails to update.

I did contact Microsoft support with this issue, and they appeared to find a problem that needed fixing. They promised to email me back in 24-48 hours. Never heard anything. Support did seem to think the two issues were related to the same fault with my
account.

Any one know of a fix?

There is no error displayed. I added Xbox Live account of my second child via Download Profile on Xbox. The account was added without a problem. Then I checked Settings > Family, but there was only an account of my first child. The same situation is on
my XBox Live Account (on the internet); under Security, Family...-->Privacy & Online Safety. There is only first child too.

Hi there, unfortunately no, to create an account so that they can play online needs to have an email address for security purposes, no one can see this email so it's not like they would get unsolicited emails from other users, but you can save the email
and password to the console so your child doesn't know those details as well as changing their security settings for what content they can see online, who can interact with them etc.

I had this issue when I accidentally deleted the parent account (though I restored it later).

My solution (Xbox 360):

1. Re-link the child account to a parent account on Microsoft family (parent account's age must be over 18), if not yet linked. Ensure that when the child account is added to the Microsoft's family system, the child account is added as a child.

2. Ensure that the child account s age is under 18

3. Ensure that the child account does not possess any payment options (credit card, debit cards etc.). If so, remove all payment options.

4. Set up the parent account's Microsoft Account options to ensure that it is a valid account. If possible, also try to add a payment option for the parent account.

5. On your Xbox, delete any profiles associated with your parent and child account (Main menu > Settings > System > Storage > Hard Drive > Profiles > (Select profile) > Delete)

6. Sign in to the parent account on your Xbox, followed by the child account.

I believe this issue has nothing to do with an invalid parent account, in fact I think it s caused by an invalid CHILD account, just that the Xbox error handler doesn't have an error for invalid child account. I tried to tackle this problem before by using
another Microsoft parent account, but that didn't work, so I changed the CHILD account s settings and viola!

Not quite sure if the steps above can be replicated on an Xbox One, but the fundamental concept should remain the same (modify child account).
