    So the support team that misses quinzel sent me to told me exactly what the problem was, at least for me. It turns out I had actually changed my gamertag way back in 2010 and totally forgotten I had done it, but that one change had caused something to happen
    within my xbox live profile in regards to trying to download the 360 while trying to play backwards compatible games.

    They told me they would be sending me an email about getting my gamertag changed for free, and that as soon as I changed it all of the issues should be resolved. This was Thursday last week and I am still waiting on said email, but it should be coming soon
    I imagine.

    I'm having this problem now as well, but I have played backwards compatible Xbox 360 games on my Xbox One before, and was able to download and sign into my account. Now when I try to sign in on the virtual Xbox 360 on my Xbox One, it says I have no connection,
    and when I go to check the connection it says everything is fine, yet I still am unable to connect via the virtual Xbox 360. I've tried power cycling, I've tried clearing my Xbox 360 storage cache on my Xbox One, I've tried resetting my router, I've tried
    just about everything suggested here in this thread, the threads I found on Reddit, and I've tried to contact Xbox Support on Twitter, but they've yet to get back to me.

    Eeey I have changed my gamertag, and it worked!!!

    Don't wait, make the change because they cannot give you a free change, a member of Microsoft support told me.

    I was told to post here by Xbox support. I have the same exact issue. Can play backwards comparable game but can't load profile to save any progress. Tried everything and nothing worked.

    Sorry to hear you're still having trouble! Just to make certain, you're performing a Xbox One Restore without removing Games & Apps? Also, does this error code happen while playing a particular game or is it across all Xbox 360 titles? Thanks!
