    I just got off chat with support and they had no resolution to my issue and said to post it so they engineers are made aware of the problem in backwards compatibility. I am going to past my chat with the support rep below.

    you: I recently purchased an xbox one and am attempting to play a 360 game that I know is on the backwards compatible list (Fable II) but whenever I attempt to import my profile so I am able to save progress it gives
    me the error 8015000A. I have tried everything I can think of to fix it. Cleared the 360 system cache, attempting to import profile through other games, nothing works.

    Aljon: Don't worry, I will be more than happy to get this sorted out for you today, Jordan.

    you: Thank you.

    Aljon: You're most welcome.

    Aljon: I will check if what else we can do here to get this sorted out.

    you: I have the game disk

    you: I have attempted to import the profile through Fable III as well, also through disk.

    Aljon: I see, thank you for that information.

    Aljon: Are you with the console now?

    you: I am upstairs but I can run down to it if you need

    Aljon: Oh, sure, because we will need to troubleshoot your console to isolate the issue.

    you: Alright just let me know what to try and I will run down and try it and report back if it worked

    Aljon: My I know if you already tried un-installing the game and re-install it?

    you: I did not, but the last thing about an hour ago was installing Supreme Commander 2 because it was a free game to see if that would work to import the profile.

    Aljon: Oh, yeah, that will help us isolate the issue.

    Aljon: By the way, I was checking on the error code that you provided, and Error 8015000A occurs when you're using your Xbox 360 console. This might mean a license is not available for this content.

    Aljon: One of the best solution that we can try is to update the game by re-installing it.

    you: So what exactly does that mean? Seeing as the game is specifically on the backwards compatibility list and I get the same error code when trying to import the profile through Supreme Commander 2, which I just installed
    digitally on the xbox today, through the game for gold program.

    Aljon: Just to confirm, this is when you're trying to download it on your Xbox One console, is that correct?

    you: Yes, I have tried importing the profile through 3 separate 360 games on the xbox one.

    you: All of them give me the 8015000A error

    Aljon: I see, alright, we will check your network connection on the console.

    Aljon: Please go to Settings > All Settings > Network > Network Settings > Test network connection.

    Aljon: Let me know what is the result of the test.

    you: It said "It's all good"

    Aljon: I see, thank you for checking.

    you: I have tried using both a wired and wireless connection, neither worked

    you: For importing the profiles I mean

    Aljon: Alright, I just want to confirm, are you using the same gamertag that you used on your Xbox 360 console?

    you: Yes

    Aljon: Was it successfully downloaded on the Xbox One console?

    you: My Gamertag itself was succeful when I did the initital set up on the Xbox One.

    Aljon: Got it, does all your game saves are save on the Cloud Saves?

    you: Apart from this problem getting my gamertag imported into the backwards compatible 360 games I have had no problems the xbox at all. I am able to play online on Xbox One games just fine.

    you: And I am unsure if all my save data goes to the cloud or not

    Aljon: I see, thank you for that information.

    Aljon: Because, we have to make sure that all your game saves are on the Cloud.

    you: How do I check that?

    Aljon: To continue playing a game on Xbox One that you started on Xbox 360.

    Aljon: Do you have your Xbox 360 console now?

    you: I did not start playing this game on Xbox 360

    you: I am attempting to start fresh

    you: I can get the game to play just fine, but if you do not import a 360 profile it will not let you save progress at all

    Aljon: I am sorry, what do you mean import your Xbox 360 profile?

    Aljon: Because, your Xbox 360 profile is your Xbox Live account, which is your [deleted].

    you: When you start up a backwards compatible game on the Xbox One it asks you to sign in, and it opens up the Xbox 360 user interface to sign in and download a profile.

    Aljon: Yes, that is correct, have you tried signing in your profile using your email address: [deleted].

    you: Yes I have, and it starts to work and then after a second or two it errors out with the 8015000A error

    Aljon: Got it, thank you!

    Aljon: Let us remove your account on your Xbox One console and re-download it.

    Aljon: This is to refresh the settings and all the licenses of the games on the console.

    Aljon: To remove your profile, please go to Settings >> Account >> Sign-in, security & passkey >> Remove me from this Xbox.

    Aljon: Please make sure that you will see your: [deleted]

    Aljon: Once removed, we will restart the console.

    Aljon: To restart the console, please hard press and hold the power button of the console for ten sec. Then disconnect all the cables at the back of the console. Then wait for 2 minutes.

    you: Okay. And then upon starting it back up sign back in to my profile?

    Aljon: Yes please.

    Aljon: After 2 minutes , reconnect everything then turn on the console and redownload your profile.

    Aljon: Then once you have signed in your account, kindly launch the Fable II and try to sign in your profile for Xbox 360.

    you: Roger, will report back when it is done.

    Aljon: Cool!

    Aljon: I just want to make sure that the chat window is still active.

    Aljon: Alright, here is what I can suggest, it seems that we have tried everything to fix the issue, kindly report the issue to our Engineers using the feedback page.

    Aljon: In that way, they will be notified that this issue exist for the backward compatibility.

    Frosthawk42, I've had similar discussions with Xbox support like this on separate issues.

    Have you tried the following:
    support.xbox.com/.../compatibility-with-xbox-360-faq


    This is like clearing the system cache on Xbox 360, which is usually the solution for the error code you are getting.

  6. Hey, Frosthawk42! What a weird situation! I want to say it's a first for me, but it isn't. You're displaying several symptoms that another user I ran into a couple months ago had. Normal troubleshooting didn't resolve him, either, so I got him sent to a
    team that should be able to help.

    If you are still experiencing difficulty importing/downloading profiles to your Xbox 360 emulator on Xbox One, you should use the Factory Reset of the console. Go to Settings>All Settings>System>Console Info and Updates>Restore to Factory Default. MAKE SURE
    you select the new option to keep all your games and apps installed on your console. Many users are reporting this fixed the error downloading profiles to backwards compatibility games. Try it and let me know how it works!

    Thanks for the reply but it still fails downloading my profile after restoring my Xbox One.

    The same error appears. It is so frustrating cos I have some vacation days and I can't enjoy my new games...

    Sorry to hear you're still having trouble! Just to make certain, you're performing a Xbox One Restore without removing Games & Apps? Also, does this error code happen while playing a particular game or is it across all Xbox 360 titles? Thanks!

    It's happenning only in 360 games. With Xbox One I have no problems.

    A Microsoft Support member told me that will work If I use my account in a real xbox 360, but I am not sure.

    Do you think it will work? I don't know no one with xbox 360...

    It's certainly possible, although we want to download the profile on your Xbox One, not an Xbox 360. Just to maker certain if you visit Settings and Storage and Clear Xbox 360 Cache do you see any difference when trying to download your profile? We just
    want to make sure we try anything, then we can dig a bit deeper into why this is happening to you.
