Error 105

hi, my son is having this error 105 code come up. He has the choice to restart or troubleshoot. He has re started and nothing happens, when he goes to troubleshoot he has the options restart, turn off, reset to factory settings or offline system update.
He does not want to reset in case he looses all his work. An suggestions?

my xbox turns on but will not turn off unless I hard reset it and when I turn it on it brings me to a troubleshoot page that gives me the option to reset my xbox o factory settings or restart the xbox but it wont restart when i press the button what do I

I'm getting the same issue. By chance did your son get added by some one with no gamer score and tried chatting with him via text messages while the individual was appearing offline, that happened to me just before things went wonky.

My problem started when my system was acting like the left trigger was always being pressed, no issues with games but apps and the OS was acting up. After trying controller update and then system update I tried the reset option to keep my games and apps
that's when it hit me. tech support has been useless, even tried the offline update and its gets stuck at 53% applying update step. To make matters worse when I called xbox I keep getting my calls disconnected. Hope they are able to fix this soon.

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the Xbox One E 105 error. I recommend to try the following troubleshooting wizard:

Troubleshoot Xbox One startup errors
- E 105
- Restore your console to factory defaults
- If the issue persists, Your console needs to be repaired.

Try this out and let us know the results.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
