    Error 105 and 102 AFTER HDD replacement


    Hi ladies and gents of the community. I come to you hat in hands, my issued started a few months back where I couldn't load up I tried multiple resets to no avail contacted xbox and they advised me it's a HDD issue and I could send it to them for £270 (completely out the question during covid) and also they would only give it a warranty for 90days(even more out of the question). The rep then advised me as it's out of warranty anyway why not do the repair myself and sent me to youtube. Seeing as I'm competent I done this and completed the repair and swapped to a Corsair SSD at the same time HOOORAHHH issue resolved it...... Or so I thought, issue is now back and I'm now stuck with this paper weight..... please please help. The money for the repair would be much better spent on the series X when stock becomes more available.

    Error 102 & 105

    Hi Mr Reay,

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums! We understand this can be confusing and even frustrating. We want to help as best as possible!

    I would recommend trying to do an Offline System Update since the system keeps showing the

    error codes 102 and 105    .

    Check out the following in order to
    perform the offline system update    . This will walk you through the whole process.

    You will need at least a 4GB USB Drive and a PC. Let us know if you have any question about how to complete the process :)

    My xbox one x which i bought recently turns on then goes straight to the troubleshooting menu then i reset to factory settings then freezes and goes into a cycle from turning on then not even powering on and it is just not usable right now and it
    keeps giving me these errors i have tried to follow troubleshooting steps on the Microsoft website but it has not helped, If anyone has any tips or tricks to fix this please get in touch. Many Thanks

    Error 102 & 105

    Hi Mr Reay,

    Sorry you keep getting these errors. We suggest you look into getting the console repaired. Being you done the offline update and hasn't worked. If you have a Microsoft store nearby, you can take the console there. If not, you can visit

    Device support     and set up a repair there.
