error 0xc00d11cd (08000000e) when trying to use flash drive 3.0 for capture and share storage

Based on your description, you are unable to use the USB Flash Drive as storage of game captures from Xbox Game Bar. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

There could be issues with your storage if the Xbox Game Bar is prompting an error message. To have a better understanding, we would like to further isolate your concern. We would like to ask for few details:

1. Can we ask for the screenshot of the issue? Please conceal any personal information like full name, email address and gamertag.
   
2. Is the storage viewable on PC's File Explorer?
   
3. Can you save files on flash drive?
   
4. Are we capturing through Xbox Console or Windows PC platform?
   

For this please try our recommendation below:

1. Try a different flash drive or an external hard drive to see if the issue persists.
   
2. Try to connect your flash drive to another USB port. See if issue persists.
   
3. Try to connect your flash drive to another PC and see if issue persist.

I tried another flash drive as well and didn’t work. No data is on either drives.

I see, this should be a working flash drive and that should not be a problem. We have additional questions:

1. May we ask for a screenshot of the error? Please conceal your personal information.
   
2. How about trying another flash drive to the Xbox Series X?
   
3. Is the flash drive containing data or files? Or is it fully empty with no content and newly format?

Yes the USB drive is brand new and works on the computer. Tried all prior fixes listed above and nothing. Files work on the drive. Trying to capture gameplay on Xbox series x. Won’t recognize as an option to change the location of capture and share to the jump drive.
