    Error 0x87e00017 for Galactic Civilizations III DLC content


    Error 0x87e00017 for Galactic Civilizations III DLC content not installed but the game installs fine. I have purchased 2 separate DLC's and they both error out at 100% with error code 0x87e00017. I tried to install another game and it was fine. I am not sure what the issue is. I also was able to install the dlc on my old laptop and had no issues. I am on a surface pro 4 and that is where I am having issues installing the dlc for this game. Any advice as I tried nearly everything that I have seen online with error 0x87e00017.

    Thank you, I will try the steps again before I call as I was able to get some of them installed. Not sure what was different but thank you for your support.

    I have performed the steps. I am.now back to the original error 0x87e00017. Only the dlc is giving this error.

    As what the Internal Support Team have noticed, this issue is something related with the device or OS. If the updates were made and done please make sure to do the following:

    Please create a system restore point and back up personal files.

    Kindly go to this link - Download Windows 10.

    Under Create Windows 10 installation media, kindly select Download tool now. Next, please select the dropdown below with this phrase -

    Read the steps thoroughly and keep in mind the number 5 which you need to select this "Keep personal files and apps" "Keep personal files only". Otherwise, do not continue!
