Error 0x87e00013 while updating Outer worlds via Xbox live on Windows 10

Out of the blue the game won't start anymore.

When I launch it, I get the MS store open on the "gaming services" page, it say it is installed; then I see a download for Outer world, but when I start it, after less than a minute it error and give me the

Error 0x87e00013

Can we please fix this? Being a paid service, every day I do not play is basically money wasted.

Thanks for the pre-cut pre-formatted usual answer; but it won't fix the issue.

Before posting here I tried probably twice as many solutions as on that page you linked; and I am aware that there is no silver bullet for issues like this; but my concern is that I get an error with an error code, and the answer for that error code is "maybe
try this".

That error code must be in response to a specific exception in the code of the installer thread, isn't it? What is triggering that error? Is it a generic error? If so, why there is not a specific messaging that describe what is the problem, with related
logging? That would show in less than 2 minutes where the problem lies.

I get that not everyone write software for a living, as I do, and I understand that not everyone was around when 3.11 was a thing, but I would expect that in 2020, if there is a failure on a paid service, at least I get a clear description of what happened,
so I can try to fix the problem.

Nothing against you, I am not complaining about your service (which is great and thanks for taking time replying). I am just blown away by the fact that in 2020 I still get shrug+generic steps for an issue that print a specific error. But it seems that it
is not that generic as error, if I am asked to do things that really have little in common to each other. I was just looking for the step saying "did you try to turn it off and on again?" ; because the irony is that it works in most cases to fix problems on
Windows.

Good thing, this is for a time-wasting activity like playing games; because if this was for work reasons, I would get concerned.

Yes, I had to uninstall the game and download it again.

The good thing is that it was "just" 39 GB.
