ERROR 0x87e00005 Cannot Download Games

I’m unable to download any game it immediately stops and says “installation stopped. Error 0x87e00005” i have checked and ran network tests and have no issue there. I can even download updates for the Xbox, but no games. Even did a hard reset and still
did nothing. Thanks for any help!

No I do not use an external hard drive. All my games are stored on the console itself.

I have tried both solutions you offered and I am still having the same problem with the same error code.

Follow this step and try again, please.

Clean your console's MAC and restart your internet devices.

Network Settings> Advanced Settings> Alternate MAC address and Clear.

If the problem persists reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.

In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

To reset the console>

Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

**Do not reset the console without having your login information such as email and password

OK, I have completely factory reset the console and had to reinstall all my games.

I am STILL having the issue and found that it affects a new game related to this week's Game Pass quests (Max and the Cursed Brotherhood).
