Every Time I try to sign in it says

Can't sign in to Xbox live getting error message 0x87DD000F

getting error message 0x87DD000F for the last 4 hours

 

Error "0x87DD000F" is associated with a failure to sign in because of a service outage, or the Xbox Live servers were down when you tried to sign in.

Verify that the Xbox server status is all normal, perform a power cycle (hold the power button for 10 seconds, turn back on), and try again.

 

Shut down then take the power lead out. Wait for 15 to 20 seconds, until the power has drained from the console. After 15 to 20 seconds, put the power cable back in and press the Start button. This is an inherent problem that is more than three years
old and Microsoft have no intention of fixing it as if they did have it would have taken well less than three years to do so. Sadly, I also have to do a hard reset of the firmware, at least once a month as the workaround also fails at times and that means
having to reinstall all games /Apps and accounts. I lose approximately 35hrs to 40hrs a month just trying to get my heap of scrap (XBox OneS) to actually do anything. Back to Sony next year, for me and many others I know of as Microsoft obviously do not
care for the user once the cash has been received.

 

NO it Isn't! The problem has not a single thing to do with "service outage", nor is it only related to WiFi as some others that don't have a clue are saying. This error is an "inherent" problem that has been around for more than three years. It should
have been fixed for the XBox One but wasn't. It should have been fixed before the release of the XBox One S but wasn't. Oviously Microsoft do not value gamers once the money has transferred to them as if they did they would have invested in a very small
team and alittle bit of time to look at the coding and sort it out. There is only one other thing that gets up my nose and that is users that know nothing but post comments to appear like they do and are therefore an addition to problems and not solutions.
There are three workarounds to this Error and you mention none of them As many others have reported when they too have to mess about every single day, there are "no service problems" reported by Microsoft. Here are the three workarounds that this **** doesn't
know about... 1) Using the Settings and not the Controller, Select "Shut Down" wait 10 seconds after the console has shut down and then press the Start button on the console. This works around 20% of the time, is the simplest to do and therefore should be
tried first. 2) If Shut Down doesn't work, once again, in the Settings, select Restart. A Restart will work at least 50% of the time. 3) If neither 1 or 2 work, In Settings, select Shut Down. When the console has shut down, remove the power cable from
the back and wait for 15 to 20 seconds before putting it back (allowing enough time for all power to drain from the console). Press the Start button on the console and it will give a fresh Boot. This works around 95% of the time but is more time consuming.
Sadly, if all 1, 2 and 3 do not work, which happens to me at least once per month, there is a fourth option and that is a Reset of the Firmware Settings (Hard Reset). This is time consuming as when it has Reset, it will need to download and install the latest
OS Update and then you will need to reinstall all your games / apps and all accounts that were registered on the console. The fourth option does work 100% of the time but you can expect it to take between 30 minutes and many hours.
