• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.

You do not have to wait "5 minutes" before plugging the power cable back in. 16 seconds is ample fopr all the power to drain from the console and for a fresh boot to take place. When are Microsoft going to fix this Error 0x87DD000F problem as I have seen
complaints about it that go back more than three (3) years. What is worse is that at least once a month a clean boot does not sort it and I get forced to do a Reinstall of the Firmware. This is an annoyance as I then have to reinstall all my games / Apps
and all users have to set up their accounts, again and again. After more than three years to sort out an obviously inherent problem, Microsoft are highly likely going to lose a chunk of the market they gained from Sony as apart from myself, I do know of many
others that are going back to the Playstation and mainly because of this error that Microsoft do not believe is important enough to fix, even though it does waste up to one hour a day just to get logged in. Fix IT!
